LOUISVILLE, Ky. (NEWSnet/AP) - Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear made a $20 bet Thursday on two college football teams in his home state, marking the start of legal sports betting in the Bluegrass State.
Beshear was betting on Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby.

On Thursday, other parts of the state opened sports betting establishments in the first phase of the rollout.
